Intro
We’re building a Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform that helps organizations manage security risks across business processes, systems, vendors, and data flows.
The platform uses knowledge graphs to connect risks, security controls, assessments, and supporting evidence, enabling more transparent risk analysis and auditable compliance workflows.
You’ll help build the backend services and data models that power these capabilities, working at the intersection of Python engineering, PostgreSQL, and knowledge graph technology.

Your team
You’ll collaborate closely with the client’s engineering team on backend architecture, data modeling, knowledge graphs, and enterprise integrations. You’ll have direct communication with technical decision-makers and the opportunity to influence key engineering decisions throughout the engagement.

Your responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend services using Python and PostgreSQL.
Design and implement knowledge graphs, ontologies, graph data models, and queries using Neo4j, Apache AGE, or comparable technologies.
Build data pipelines and synchronization mechanisms for structured compliance data and graph representations.
Develop integrations with enterprise systems, including CMDB and security assessment platforms.
Implement APIs, workflow logic, and auditable risk-scoring capabilities.
Maintain data consistency, validation, security, automated testing, and CI/CD reliability.
Collaborate with technical stakeholders to translate complex requirements into maintainable backend solutions.
It's about you
5+ years of commercial experience in Python backend development.
Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design, indexing, JSONB, and database migrations.
Practical experience designing or implementing knowledge graphs and ontologies.
Experience with Neo4j, Apache AGE, Cypher/openCypher, or comparable graph technologies.
Strong understanding of REST APIs, backend architecture, and enterprise system integrations.
Experience with data validation, synchronization, and workflow logic or state machines.
Ability to work independently, investigate complex technical problems, and make sound engineering decisions.
Good English communication skills.
