About the product

Intro

Our partner is a US-based healthcare technology company focused on remote patient monitoring and virtual care.

The platform helps healthcare providers monitor patients remotely, track vital signs and risk alerts, communicate with patients, and manage care workflows.

You will work on an established production application primarily built with Python and Django. The role is mainly focused on backend development, with some work on the web UI.

You will join an engineering organization of around 15 developers working across several teams/pods. One Techstack engineer will be part of the team.

Your responsibilities

Develop, maintain and support production Python/Django applications.

Build backend services, REST APIs and web interfaces.

Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases, schemas and queries.

Develop and maintain asynchronous workflows using Celery or similar tools.

Deploy, operate and troubleshoot applications hosted on AWS.

Write unit and integration tests.

Participate in peer code reviews.

Support CI/CD processes, logging and application monitoring.

Support production releases and resolve incidents.

Perform root-cause analysis and implement reliable fixes.

Maintain technical documentation.

Work independently on complex problems while collaborating with product, QA, DevOps and engineering teams.

It's about you

5+ years of professional software engineering experience.

Strong Python and Django experience, including application development, models, views, templates, backend services and frontend integration.

Experience with object-oriented design and development.

Experience with REST API design and development and JSON-based integrations.

Strong SQL and PostgreSQL experience, including schema design, query development, performance tuning and working with large datasets.

Web development experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Experience with Celery or similar asynchronous/background task processing.

Linux/Unix command-line and shell scripting proficiency.

AWS experience, including deploying, operating and troubleshooting cloud-hosted applications.

Experience with Git, peer code review, unit and integration testing, CI/CD, logging, monitoring and production support.

Experience supporting releases, troubleshooting incidents and performing root-cause analysis.

Ability to work independently on complex problems while collaborating with product, QA, DevOps and engineering teams.

Upper-Intermediate English or higher.

Will be a plus:

Experience in the healthcare domain.

PHP, especially Laravel or Lumen.

Java or Go.

MySQL.

Docker / container technologies.

Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools.

Reporting, data visualization or analytics experience.
